Things to Do While In Florida

*Over the course of your expEARence in the College Program, you will be given 2 days off a week. Here are some ideas on what to do on your days off.*

Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom! take time out to visit your friends at work, or just go play in the parks for a day!

Resort Hop! See the other side of Disney, the resorts! Take an afternoon to walk around the magnificent Animal Kingdom Lodge or jump off the monorail at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. If you have a roommate working at one of the resorts, you definitely must visit them while they are working!

Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, River Country: enjoy the warm Florida weather and take in a water park or 2. There are discounts for cast members and sometimes you can get in free.

Wide World of Sports: take in a baseball game, or just play around in this state of the art sports complex.

Disney Golf Courses: Take in a relaxing game of golf, or be a little more daring and play at one of 2 mini golf courses, Winter Summerland and Fantasia Gardens.

Mickey's Retreat @ Little Lake Bryan: sailing, swimming, canoeing, volleyball and other activities for cast members and their family members to take in. They also have special cast only celebrations for the various holidays.

Downtown Disney: Pleasure Island (cast members get in free on Monday and Thursday nights), World of Disney, Wolfgang Puck, Virgin Megastore, AMC Theater. there are plenty of things to do to keep you busy at Downtown Disney!

Universal Orlando: Universal Studios and Island of Adventure theme parks. Cast members do not get discounts, but if you can prove that you are a Florida resident for the time you are down there, you can get a cheap season pass.

Sea World: A great park right off of Central Florida Parkway. I believe that you can get cast member discount tickets through Company D, but this may have changed.

Florida Mall: The biggest mall in Orlando.

Lake Buena Vista Outlets: A great outlet mall just down the road from Vista Way. Gap, Reebok, etc.

Orlando Premium Outlets: Another great outlet mall right by Chatham Square. Banana Republic, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, etc.

Belz Factory Outlet: Yet another outlet mall, but has double the amount of stores then the other 2.

Busch Gardens: A park in Tampa Bay that is a great day trip.

Kennedy Space Center: Only 45min away, and you can take a tour of the center and watch a space shuttle launch.

Beaches: Clearwater, Cocoa, Daytona, Vero Beach, etc.
