What to Bring

What to Bring

This list is just a suggestion on what to bring for your  wondEARful College Program experience.

Alarm Clock: Be late to your class and you instantly fail.

Answering Machine:  The apartment's don't come with one, and it's a must with keeping track of messages.

ATM Card: The ATMs at Vista and Chatham charge you a fee. There is a fee-free ATM at Publix.

Bathing Suit: take advantage of the pools and hot tub.

Beach Towel

Black Work Shoes: This saves you time from running all over Orlando to get a comfy pair or work shoes.

Blanket, Sheets: They do provide this for you for a fee, so it's better to bring your own.

Calling Cards: You can only call into Orlando w/the phone's they provide, so Phone cards are a MUST!

Camera: a must have to remember everything you do.

Car: Not a necessity, but I enjoyed not having to rely on the bus system.

CD's

Computer or Lap Top: For writing up reports and papers for school back home, or for classes. Also great for internet & e-mail.

Cordless Phone: There is only one phone and it's a corded one in the kitchen. You can also run lines to the other rooms so you can have more than one phone in the apartment. But it is all the same line.

Discman: A must have for the work bus rides.

Drivers License: Can't get into Vista Way or Work without it!

Home Banking Info: If you have your checking or savings account tied to a ATM card, you can get your paycheck's directly deposited into your account and us the Vista Way ATM to get money out.

Laundry Bag

Lots of Film: To take the many memories of your roomies and friends doing strange things.

Movies: Nice to have, but there is a Blockbuster by Orange Blossom Trail (OBT) and by Central Florida Parkway.

Pillow, Pillow Case: Again, it's a nice thing to have.

Printer

Professional Clothes: For classes, traditions and shadowing.

Quarters: Laundry is a $1 per load and the machines at Vista only take quarters. The ones at Chatham take pre-paid cards that you have to buy down there.

Social Security Card: Can't start traditions without it!

Stereo

Toaster: Great for fast breakfast's or dinners.

Towel, Bathroom Items:

TV: This is NOT provided. You must have your own, or you can rent.

VCR: Same as the TV.

Video Camera: To capture the memories of your adventure.
